One of the central points of the CS Lewis story of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is of course, the wardrobe. I would spend hours as child exploring the depths of my wardrobe and all the others in the house hoping to find the secret world of Narnia, of course all I found were a few mothballs and a life of disillusionment followed….
In case your children don’t know the story, I thoroughly recommend that when you get them that new wardrobe you know they need, you put the book in there for them to find. I guarantee that they’ll never look at a wardrobe in quite the same way again!
I may not have discovered Narnia in any of the wardrobes when I was a child, but then to be honest none of ours exactly fitted the bill. I can’t see Narnia appearing at the back of an MFI mirrored wardrobe somehow. But if anything is going to get the imagination of children working on overdrive it’s this magnificent English Oak nursery wardrobe.
I would have given anything to have this in my room as a child! This is not just a children’s wardrobe, it’s a den, hidey hole, magical land and pretend tree house all in one! Children’s imaginations have no limits and this piece of furniture will provide hours of entertainment as well as being a timeless classic that will be handed down from generation to generation, all with a special story to tell!

With three storage drawers in the base this will prove to be a very useful piece of children’s bedroom furniture indeed.
You’ll see a few items of kid’s furniture around these days which use a love heart motif in some form or another but the Sweetheart wardrobe from Aspace is our current favourite. This traditional style wardrobe has ample storage space inside together with a full-width drawer in the base.
The Texas wardrobe from Marks and Spencer is a compact space-saving wardrobe with a very modern style. The clean white double doors open to reveal a full width hanging rail and the pine surround has smooth rounded edges which are particularly important in a toddlers room.
