Shiver ‘me timbers – Pirates have been around since as long as there have been ships to carry them, and that’s a long time. Recent events may have done their legendary status some harm but the theme is still a popular one with young boys. Treasure Island, Captain Hook and the Pirates of the Caribbean are all great sources of inspiration and the iconic ‘skull and cross-bones’ symbol is one which you can implement to good effect.
Nautical themes are all well and good but with a pirate themed bedroom you really are limited only by your imagination. A successful pirate theme need not necessarily cost a King’s ransom and can be as simple or as elaborate as you wish.
